Pendekatan Sakinah Finance dalam Mewujudkan Stabilitas Ekonomi dan Keuangan Keluarga pada Masyarakat Sidomulyo Timur Kota Pekanbaru

Abstract

The phenomenon of uncertain economic conditions due to scarcity of goods and services, uncontrolled price which is increased in market, but it directly proportional to the level of consumption which is increasing due to large demographics of society. Different lifestyles and ways of family financial management can provide several approaches that family financial managers can used.  In addition, in most cases, rural communities prioritize to fulfill basic needs rather than pursue desires or dreams that are mostly depicted in urban communities. The purpose of this activity is to increase community's understanding of Islamic household financial management with Sakinah Finance model approach with purpose to realize and maintain family economic stability. The method used was counseling and interactive discussions about family financial management with Sakinah Finance approach to the mothers of Family Welfare Development (PKK) and the congregation of Majlis Taklim Raudatul Jannah Mosque, Sidomulyo Timur District. Based on evaluation results collected from implementation of activity, it shows that 93.5% percent of the participants meet the criteria of understanding the concept well, which means they understand Islamic financial management and have good responses to the interactive discussion session. On the other hand, 6.5% of the participants met the criteria of good concept understanding, which means that their understanding of Islamic financial management is sufficient. which means their understanding of Islamic household financial management is a little slow due to advanced age and low financial literacy.
