Karangbangun Village, Matesih, Karanganyar, Central Java, is located on the slopes of Mount Lawu, a region geographically less conducive to dengue virus infection (DVI). However, cases of DVI and stunting were reported in this area in 2024. This highlights the need to enhance immune function through improved and modified nutritional intake to prevent severe DVI. Given that Karangbangun Village has land utilized for food crops and a network of potential health cadres, immunonutrition education for these cadres represents one of the strategies for DVI eradication. Increasing the knowledge of health cadres is expected to help the community address DVI. To achieve this goal, educational sessions in the form of health counseling were conducted for the health cadres in Karangbangun Village. The results of the education revealed an increase in the health cadres' knowledge after the sessions, as demonstrated by the significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.029). The conclusion drawn is that education using counseling methods effectively enhances health cadres' understanding of immunonutrition related to DVI.
