Plastic waste remains a serious environmental problem due to its resistance to decomposition and its potential to cause pollution and health risks. This issue is exacerbated by low public awareness and improper waste disposal practices, such as open dumping and burning. To address this problem, an environmentally friendly and value-added solution is needed. This community service activity implemented the ecobrick method, which involves compacting cleaned plastic waste into used plastic bottles to create reusable materials. The program was conducted in Empang Baru Village and involved 30 participants, primarily housewives who frequently handle household plastic waste. The methods included socialization, training, and hands-on practice in producing ecobricks, which were subsequently assembled into chairs for the village library. The results showed that participants successfully understood and applied all stages of ecobrick production, from waste selection and preparation to compaction. The resulting ecobrick chairs were functional and aesthetically pleasing, providing both environmental and social benefits. Overall, the activity increased environmental awareness, practical skills, and community participation in sustainable plastic waste management while supporting local literacy facilities.
