South Tapanuli Traditional Cloth Craftsmen are active as can be seen from the activities carried out by young craftsmen who participate in preserving South Tapanuli traditional cloth with creative economic activities preserving ethnic cloth and carrying out entrepreneurship. Economic independence refers to the ability of individuals to be financially independent and not dependent on other people in terms of economic prosperity through micro, small, medium or large entrepreneurial activities. The activity of preserving ethnic fabrics (cloth) is conducted consciously to preserve the original traditional diversity of the Tapsel region which is a cultural heritage and does it with a sense of joy (happiness). The success in preserving Tapsel's traditional cultural heritage has increasingly made Tapsel's traditional cloth craftsmen and enterpreneurs happy, because it begins with a sense of joy in carrying out activities to preserve these ethnic cloths. Typical Tapsel cloth business actors are economically independent enterprenurs who carry out creative economic activities, namely Tapsel ethnic cloth. It is important for every individual as a human resource to be able to enjoy the process of working, so that they can feel and enjoy the happiness of working. Happiness is proportional to the extent to which a person appreciates his life as a whole, builds meaningful relationships with others, is fully involved, finds purpose in daily life, is optimistic and remains realistic, and resilient.
