Abstract

The trend of public services is in a positive direction, nowadays government always tries to serve it’s people. Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Yogyakarta is one of the government agencies that focuses on serving the community and plays an important role in managing investments and facilitating the licensing process, however, based on observations, several visitors felt that services provided were still less than optimal due to a lack of human resources who understand the concept of service. The aim of this activity is to provide increased understanding regarding the concept of service. The target is all human resources who work in the public service department. The service concept raised here is the concept of excellent service, a service concept that prioritizes user satisfaction, which is often referred to as special service. The methods implemented are a model of socialization, training (lectures), discussions, practice and mentoring. Based on the evaluation results, this activity was able to increase the participants understanding of excellent service.
