The initial survey carried out by the team identified that one thing that could be explored and empowered was organic waste management. Places where lots of trees grow produce dry leaves that have not been used so that they just become piles of organic waste that provide no benefit and are even burned which can pollute the environment and contribute to carbon emissions. The aim of the activity is to provide skills improvement to the Ittihadj High School environmental care group in azolla cultivation to support the dry leaf composting program. The implementation method includes several stages: "material provision, azolla cultivation practices", composting practices, for "sustainability of this program the PKM team will carry out: monitoring and assistance" during the activity.
The results of the evaluation taken from the activity participant questionnaire data can be concluded that: The results of the evaluation of the provision of material for managing organic waste from azolla-based dry leaves into compost, 100% of participants increased their knowledge, 88% of participants thought that dry leaf waste in the school environment could only be treated by burning it. just. The remaining 12% thought that dry leaf waste in the school environment could be processed. In terms of the benefits of the activities carried out, it can be seen that from the start the participants were enthusiastic about taking part in this activity as shown by the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires, 100% of the participants stated that the activities carried out were useful.
