Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Inovasi Pembuatan Sabun Cair Dari Pengolahan Sampah Organik

Abstract

The waste problem in Pekanbaru City is still a crucial problem and requires a solution to overcome it. This activity aims to provide training on processing organic waste into environmentally friendly liquid soap. The targets of this activity are the managers of the Raziq Damai Bersih Waste Bank and the community around the Waste Bank which is located in Rumbai District, Lembah Damai Village. This activity also presents appropriate technology in the form of making liquid soap from organic waste which is first processed into eco enzyme. The method of implementing this activity is to provide training and assistance to improve waste bank management skills, packaging skills, marketing skills using information technology as well as assistance in financial management and preparing financial reports for the Waste Bank. This activity was attended by 15 participants. Before starting the training, a pretest was held to determine the training participants' understanding. With the training, it was proven that there was an increase in participants' understanding of the use of organic waste for making liquid soap. Participants' understanding also increased in terms of marketing and financial management.
