Abstract

The Insan Berguna Nusantara Foundation disability group is a group that has physical, mental, intellectual or sensory limitations for a long time in interacting with the environment can encounter obstacles to full and effective participation. Areca nut is an export trade commodity, increased production of areca nut can be utilized by the community as a business opportunity. The implementation method includes material provision, provision of betara varieties of areca plants, cultivation practices, for the continuation of the program the team monitors and assists during the activity. The results of monitoring and evaluation can be concluded that the presence of participants participating in socialization activities was very active, participants showed good enthusiasm and enthusiasm when discussing the material provided related to the cultivation of areca var. have very satisfying knowledge and understanding to carry out areca cultivation independently. Suggestions after the activity was carried out that further collaboration was needed to improve skills in the context of empowering groups with disabilities as an effort to increase the creative economy of partner members.
