Used cooking oil is household waste that is often disposed of carelessly, potentially polluting soil and water bodies due to its water-insoluble nature. This condition can cause environmental disturbances such as increased COD and BOD, as well as damage to aquatic ecosystems. This community service activity aims to Program of Kampung Sampah Bernilai (SALAI) in RT 02, Temindung Permai Village, Samarinda, through training in the production of aromatherapy candles as an effort to utilize waste cooking oil into products with economic value. The methods used were counseling and hands-on practice with the RT head and the Dasa Wisma group, accompanied by pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the increase in participants' knowledge. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the utilization of used cooking oil, with an average initial knowledge of only 5% increasing to 100% on five main indicators, including knowledge about the utilization of used cooking oil, experience in making candles, identification of materials, benefits for the environment, and steps in making candles. All participants (100%) expressed enthusiasm and interest in continuing production as a home business opportunity. In conclusion, this program has succeeded in increasing the community's knowledge and skills in managing used cooking oil waste creatively and in an environmentally friendly manner, and has the potential to become a model for sustainable empowerment for other .
