Community-based food production can provide an important foundation for strengthening household food security, particularly in urban areas with limited productive space. The Kampung Pangan Madani Program was implemented in Tanjung Rhu, Pekanbaru, to strengthen local food production through integrated catfish culture, hydroponics, and community capacity development. This article describes the implementation process and early achievements of the program. The four-month program employed a participatory approach involving beneficiary profiling, infrastructure development, technical training, hands-on practice, mentoring, and monitoring. Twelve community members participated as direct beneficiaries. The program established key production facilities, including a 73-m bore well, greenhouse, hydroponic system with 1,120 planting holes, water tower, and supporting hygiene facilities. Hydroponic activities progressed from training and seedling preparation to cultivation, harvesting, and product handling, while the aquaculture component was strengthened through biofloc preparation and the stocking of 1,500 catfish fingerlings. These achievements indicate that the program successfully established an operational foundation for integrated community-based food production. However, longer-term effects on productivity, household income, and market performance require further evaluation through subsequent production cycles and systematic monitoring.

Perancangan dan Pelatihan Aplikasi Android untuk Manajemen Pendataan Tikus Wistar Mahasiswa DIV Teknologi Laboratorium Medis

Recording experiment data for laboratory animals by Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) students at Politeknik ’Aisyiyah Pontianak is still conducted manually using paper-based logbooks, making it prone to human error and data loss. This community service activity aims to provide training and mentoring on utilizing the Labnsci Android application as a digital data recording tool in the laboratory. The implementation methods included needs analysis, interactive training, and operational testing. The application was tested directly by 10 TLM students on 25 Wistar rats. Test results showed that all participants successfully inputted experiment data without any technical errors (0% error rate). This demonstrates the reliability of the Labnsci application in supporting data management digitalization. Limitations include the small trial scale and the unmeasured quantitative impact on efficiency and 3R ethics understanding.

Transformasi Kompetensi Analisis Data Kuantitatif Melalui Pelatihan JASP dan Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence Bagi Peneliti Pemula

Quantitative data analysis is an essential competency for novice researchers to produce valid and evidence-based research. This community engagement activity aimed to improve participants’ ability to conduct quantitative data analysis through JASP training and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The activity employed a practice-based training method involving 21 lecturers from Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram representing various faculties and functional positions, including teaching staff, assistant professors, and lecturers. Evaluation was conducted using a seven-item Likert-scale questionnaire to assess participants’ perceptions and competency improvement following the training. The results indicated a positive response to the JASP training and AI utilization in supporting participants’ quantitative data analysis competencies. The mean response score was 83.19, with individual indicators ranging from 78.82 to 89.41. Understanding the procedures for conducting correlation analysis using JASP achieved the highest score of 89.41, while participants’ confidence in using JASP reached 85.88. These findings demonstrate that practice-based training can effectively support the development of participants’ quantitative data analysis skills and confidence in conducting research independently.

Pemberdayaan Petani Sawit Swadaya melalui Audit Transaksi TBS dan Edukasi Transparansi Kwitansi di Desa Simpang Petai Kabupaten Kampar

This community empowerment program strengthened oil palm farmers’ capacity to verify Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) transactions and improve receipt transparency in Simpang Petai Village, Kampar Regency. A Participatory Action Research approach was applied through baseline mapping, an audit of 34 receipts, mentoring of 27 transactions, education, staged coaching, and development of a receipt recommendation. Six farmers participated for four weeks in June–July 2026. The baseline audit found an average receipt completeness score of 3.7 of 7 required components (52.8%), while the average weighing discrepancy was 16.3 kg per transaction. Estimated losses reached IDR 72,268 per transaction or IDR 164,042 per month. The ability to identify unreasonable deductions and recognize the FFB reference price increased from 0% to 100%, while transaction recording reached 83%. A 10-component receipt recommendation was submitted to four stakeholders. The program demonstrates that transaction literacy and mentoring can strengthen bargaining capacity.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are not only required to make profits but must also be able to provide added value by implementing businesses that have responsibility for the environmental, social and good governance (ESG), MSME actors in general have business types that are almost similar to others, making it difficult to develop and do not have a competitive advantage. This service is carried out to create innovations that can provide competitive advantages and increase efficiency by involving the existence of female leaders. This service is carried out to Malay MSMEs in the Pekanbaru City area with a training method designed to be participatory and educational. This activity has a positive contribution and creates more competitive business opportunities so that MSMEs continue to grow and have competitiveness on a global scale, at the beginning of the activity a pre-test is carried out to find out the ability of participants and in the evaluation stage a post-test is carried out to find out the understanding of participants after participating in the activity, the results show an increase in the average level of understanding of participants by 82%.

This Community Service Program aims to empower women entrepreneurs in the creative economy of MSMEs in Pantai Gading Village through coconut-based functional food innovation and digital marketing to strengthen economic independence and reduce vulnerability to exploitation and human trafficking. Partners' challenges include limited product innovation, production standardization, business management, financial record-keeping, branding, and digital marketing. The program is implemented in a participatory manner through potential mapping, entrepreneurship training, coconut functional food product development, strengthening financial literacy, branding, digital marketing, legal literacy, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. Results demonstrate increased capacity among partners in developing value-added products, improving packaging and branding, managing finances, and utilizing digital media to expand markets. The program also improves legal understanding, job security, and awareness of exploitation, supporting SDGs 1, 5, 8, 9, and 16.

Accountable financial management of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) requires structured recording, human resource competence, internal control, and digital technology support. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen the capacity of managers of BUMDes Istana Mahligai, Muara Takus Village, XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency, in digital financial management and reporting. The implementation used a participatory approach through problem identification, planning, training, mentoring, system development and testing, monitoring, and evaluation. The results indicate the establishment of a system foundation integrating digital general journals, automated financial reports, user management, business-unit transaction classification, financial monitoring dashboards, a marketplace for local SME products and tourism packages, offline transaction input, and AI-based summary and recommendation features. The mentoring process also strengthened managers’ knowledge, practical skills, managerial capabilities, and digital literacy. The program initiated a transition from manual administration toward a more integrated, traceable, transparent, and data-driven governance model to support BUMDes performance and sustainable village development.

This community service program aims to develop Pustaka Aweida as a local culture-based literacy center while strengthening community participation in educational development in Soryar Village, East Biak District, Biak Numfor Regency. The program employed a participatory community empowerment approach through seven stages: identification of potentials and problems, planning, strengthening Pustaka Aweida, implementation of literacy activities, capacity building, evaluation, and sustainability. The activities included group reading, learning assistance, storytelling, writing, drawing, discussions, and the use of folklore, village history, the Biak language, oral traditions, and customary values as learning resources. The results indicate growing interest and participation among participants in literacy activities, expanded opportunities for interaction and learning, strengthened community participation, and greater integration of local culture into literacy activities. Pustaka Aweida has developed as a space for literacy, learning, community empowerment, and cultural preservation. Program sustainability requires institutional strengthening, literacy cadres or volunteers, locally relevant reading materials, and partnerships with various stakeholders.

The management of 3,140 financial accountability files from fiscal years 2010–2017 at BLU Poltekkes Kemenkes Banten faced four operational challenges: physical document damage, manual metadata error rates (8–12%), SRIKANDI application upload failures (35%), and misplaced audit files. This community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity and independence of two partner archiving staff through integrated risk management mentoring. One-month participatory mentoring included digital media conversion to Google Drive, Google Sheets creation with Data Validation, formulation of standardized scanning SOPs (150–200 DPI, compression < 2 MB), and implementation of an Out-Sheet System with a digital logbook. Before-and-after evaluations via entry validation, upload trials, and retrieval simulations showed metadata accuracy improved to 98.5% (2,450 entries), SRIKANDI upload success reached 95.6% (1,150 sample files), and audit file traceability reached 97.5% with retrieval times of 1–2 minutes (10 simulations). This program successfully strengthened partner staff skills for sustainable archive management.
